The Lexington is a full-home Henderson home remodel that transformed a disjointed 1990s-era floor plan into a cohesive, light-filled residence honored as the 2026 NARI Remodeler of the Year in the Residential Interior Over $500,000 category. Our clients came to Kingdom & Co. because the house no longer worked for the way they actually lived. The rooms were chopped up, the ceilings felt cold and vacant, and the kitchen, dining, and bar areas competed with each other instead of flowing together. They wanted a home that looked intentional from the moment they walked in the door, cooked beautifully, entertained effortlessly, and gave them a true spa retreat at the end of the day. This is how we delivered it.

Before our team ever picked up a pencil, we spent time walking the house with the homeowners and listening. Three problems surfaced immediately. First, the entryway opened into an extremely tall, unadorned volume that felt cold rather than welcoming. Second, the main living zone was actually three competing spaces: a formal dining room, a sunken bar, and a kitchen that never quite functioned for cooking or gathering. Third, the primary bathroom was a standard-issue builder layout wedged beside a rarely-used guest bath, with no room to breathe and no connection to the wellness-forward lifestyle the homeowners actually wanted.

This is the kind of problem a surface-level remodel cannot solve. It required whole-home architectural rethinking, which is why our clients chose a design-build partner rather than hiring an architect, an interior designer, and a general contractor separately. The Vision: Warmth, Flow, and Spa-Level Retreat

We reimagined the home around three ideas carried through every room: layered architectural ceilings to bring the volume down into human scale, a continuous material language in warm whites and white oak, and a floor plan that finally made sense for how the family lives.

The entry’s original ceiling height made the space feel empty rather than impressive. We introduced a layered coffered ceiling detail, added floor-to-ceiling trimwork on every wall, and shifted to a warm two-tone paint palette. The result is an entry that reads as architecture, not drywall, and that sets the tone for every room beyond it.

The kitchen is where this project earned its award. We removed the walls separating the old formal dining, sunken bar, and cramped kitchen, and replaced them with a single working room anchored by a thirteen-foot island. A large alcove range sits under new windows flanked by glass-front display cabinets, and the coffered ceiling from the entry continues overhead so the architecture reads as one connected idea.

The cabinetry is custom Oakcraft, framed full-overlay in the Nantucket door style. The perimeter runs are HDF with a Sherwin-Williams Incredible White finish. The island is Rift White Oak in a custom Moonlight finish, warm enough to ground the room without darkening it. Countertops run along the wall and wrap the island in a way that echoes the stone used later in the living room mantle, tying two rooms together with one material story.

Tucked behind the kitchen, a concealed galley scullery functions as the home’s true working pantry. It carries its own prep sink, microwave, beverage refrigerator, small-appliance garage, and a new window that the original layout did not have. Cabinetry here is Kingdom & Co. custom cabinetry in Maple with the same Incredible White finish, keeping the hidden room consistent with the public kitchen. This is one of the upgrades that makes the finished space feel effortless when the homeowners entertain: the mess stays out of sight and the main kitchen stays gallery-clean.

The original living room was organized around a bulky corner fireplace that forced furniture into awkward angles. We flattened the wall, centered a new linear fireplace beneath the television, and set both into a dramatic stone mantle whose material echoes the kitchen countertops. Custom white oak built-ins flank either side, carrying the home’s wood language across another room. The coffered ceiling continues overhead so the eye never catches a seam between the public spaces.

The primary bath is why our Henderson home remodel work is increasingly sought out for high end bathroom remodel Las Vegas projects. We absorbed the adjacent guest bathroom into the primary suite footprint, then built the room around four wellness zones: a large walk-in shower, a separate steam shower, a freestanding soaking tub at the center, and a true built-in sauna. Every surface is custom, from the stone slabs to the bespoke tilework, to the vanity cabinetry.

The vanities are Kingdom & Co. custom cabinetry in Select Poplar with a Shaker door and a River Rock finish, a muted stone-washed tone that reads as warm neutral against the marble and tile. Hardware, faucets, and lighting were selected to disappear into the architecture rather than compete with it. This is not a bathroom. It is the part of the home the owners return to every day.
