Ruby Estate
Ruby Estate is a 3,956-square-foot mountain modern custom home in Las Vegas, designed and built ground-up by Kingdom & Co. in nine months.

Four bedrooms, a dedicated home office, and five bathrooms wrap around a great room engineered for one purpose: to capture an unobstructed mountain view through a 30-foot slider that opens at the center.
Kingdom & Co. served as both builder and designer on this project, every decision from the Hardie siding profile to the re-engineered steel beam made in-house.

Mountain Modern Custom Home Las Vegas: Built for the Vegas Valley
Mountain modern as a style was forged in Park City and Heber Valley. These are homes that wear natural materials honestly, frame the landscape with intent, and read clean rather than rustic. Ruby Estate brings that vocabulary to Las Vegas. Hardie vertical siding gives the exterior its quiet, deliberate profile. Inside, the great room is anchored by exposed wood beams overhead and a floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace flanked by custom built-in log holders milled into the wood surrounds. The same material story carries into the kitchen with brick accents, Kingdom & Co. custom cabinetry, and honed and leathered countertops chosen for the hand-feel as much as the look.
Standout Spaces
Three rooms carry the home: the great room, the kitchen, and the primary bathroom. The great room is the architectural heart with beams, brick, and a 30′ slider framing the mountains. The kitchen pulls the same material vocabulary forward with brick, Kingdom & Co. custom cabinetry, and stone countertops finished honed and leathered, never polished. The primary bath leans into spa territory with the same restraint: matte stone, custom millwork, deliberate lighting.
Indoor-Outdoor Flow
The home is built around a 30′ x 10′ center-opening slider that frames the mountain view from the great room. The primary bedroom opens through double doors to a covered patio. The powder bath off the game room has an exterior door, built deliberately for the future pool, so guests can come in from the yard without tracking through the house. A side-yard orchard wraps the home with mature fruit trees, softening the desert lot and adding a sense of place that most Vegas custom builds skip entirely.
Custom Built-Ins & Millwork
Every bedroom has custom drywall popout built-ins, no two rooms identical. The great room fireplace surround integrates wood built-ins and recessed log holders on each side. All cabinetry throughout the home is Kingdom & Co. custom cabinetry, with the great room and kitchen pieces specified at the highest tier of millwork detail.
Performance & Systems (Above Code)
Ruby Estate is built to outperform standard Vegas construction:
- Open-cell spray foam insulation throughout, no batt insulation anywhere in the envelope
- Reflective roof membrane installed beneath paper and finish tile for additional radiant heat rejection
- High-efficiency windows across every opening
- HVAC upgraded to the highest available SEER rating at the time of build
- Whole-home water filtration
The 30′ View Story
The original structural plan called for a wood glulam beam supported by a post planted dead center in the 30′ slider opening. Aesthetically unworkable. It would have killed the mountain view the entire great room was designed around. Kingdom & Co. brought the structural engineer back, re-engineered with structural steel, and eliminated the post entirely. The slider now opens to an unbroken sightline. This is the kind of decision that defines the difference between building to a plan and building to a vision.
Why This Project Matters
What sets Ruby Estate apart isn’t a single feature. It’s the discipline. Zero transitions at the floor (including out to the patio). Clean joints throughout. Every popout, every built-in, every fixture choice tied back to the same intentional design language. Functionality and design as one system, not two competing priorities. That’s the standard Kingdom & Co. brings to every custom home Las Vegas build.

Frequently Asked Questions
Build time for a custom home in Las Vegas typically ranges from 9 to 18 months depending on size, finish level, and permitting. Kingdom & Co. completed Ruby Estate, a 3,956 sf mountain modern custom home, in nine months from groundbreaking to final walkthrough. Mountain modern is a luxury residential style that pairs natural materials (wood beams, stone, brick, vertical siding) with clean contemporary lines and an intentional connection to the surrounding landscape. It originated in Park City and Heber Valley luxury residential and works anywhere with strong mountain or natural-view orientation. Hallmarks include exposed beam ceilings, floor-to-ceiling fireplaces in stone or brick, vertical siding profiles like Hardie board-and-batten, and large-format sliders or windows oriented to capture views. Ruby Estate is a Las Vegas example of the style.
Mountain modern leans alpine and refined: vertical siding, exposed beams, brick or stone fireplaces, big windows oriented to landscape, and a cleaner more contemporary silhouette. Modern farmhouse leans agrarian: board-and-batten, shed dormers, metal roof accents, barn-door silhouettes, and porch-forward elevations. The materials overlap heavily (wood, brick, vertical siding) but the orientation and proportions differ. Mountain modern frames a view; modern farmhouse frames a porch. Ruby Estate is mountain modern. Copper Oak Estate is modern desert farmhouse. Kingdom & Co. builds both.
The four highest-impact energy upgrades for a Las Vegas custom home are: open-cell spray foam insulation throughout the envelope (replacing batt), a reflective roof membrane installed beneath the finish tile to reject radiant heat, high-efficiency windows on every opening, and HVAC specified at the highest SEER rating available. Whole-home water filtration is a worthwhile add for desert water hardness. Ruby Estate was built with all four, plus the water filtration system.
Yes. Mountain modern translates well to Las Vegas because the Vegas Valley has genuine mountain views (Spring Mountains, Red Rock, Sheep Range, McCullough Range) and the style’s emphasis on indoor-outdoor connection works in any climate. The materials adapt: Hardie vertical siding handles desert UV better than wood; high-SEER HVAC and reflective roofing offset the heat load; orchard or native landscaping replaces the alpine forest context.
