The Darby
Paradise
The Darby is a Paradise kitchen remodel where K&Co. turned a dark, dated kitchen into a bold, open, black-and-white space. We built it around black shaker cabinetry and a white marble waterfall island wrapped in black chevron paneling, finished with a full-height marble slab backsplash and hood, polished dome pendants and a suspended steel-and-glass shelf over the peninsula. Everything was designed and built by the same in-house team at K&Co., part of Kingdom & Co. We believe you should love every corner of your home, and this Paradise kitchen is a frame of reference for what is possible.

The Kitchen: We rebuilt the kitchen in a confident black-and-white palette: flat and glass-front black shaker cabinetry, a white marble waterfall island clad in black chevron paneling, and a full-height marble slab backsplash that carries up into a marble slab range hood. A professional stainless range with a pot filler anchors the cooking wall, polished dome pendants hang over the island, and a suspended steel-and-glass shelf adds storage without closing the room in. Black steel windows and warm white-oak floors keep the space bright.
Open to Dining: The kitchen opens straight into the dining and living space, so we designed it to read as one room. A cluster glass chandelier and a live-edge wood table warm up the dining side, while the same black, white and marble story ties the two areas together. The result is a kitchen that works for everyday cooking and holds its own when the whole space is full of people.
