The Brixton
The Lakes
The Brixton is a full-home remodel in The Lakes, Las Vegas. The house started as a 1990s builder home, and the clients came to us wanting the bones to stay but everything else to change. What we built for them reads more like a warm modernist showpiece than a remodel: walnut cabinetry throughout, blackened steel accents, floor-to-ceiling stone slabs, and hidden doors that keep the working parts of the house out of sight.

The kitchen was rebuilt around dual islands, both with white plaster-finish counters and blackened steel waterfall sides. A custom charcoal steel range hood anchors the wall over a Wolf cooktop, Miele double wall ovens sit tucked into a floor-to-ceiling walnut column, and a True Residential glass-door refrigerator column runs opposite. Behind a wall of walnut cabinet doors that read as continuous panels, a hidden door opens to a full sage green prep kitchen with an Irinox professional blast chiller, a dedicated sink, and shelving for the tools that never need to live on display.
The primary bath is a wet room behind a wall of black steel and glass. Floor-to-ceiling marble slabs run every direction, a freestanding tub sits under a black wall-mount tub filler, a ceiling-mount rain shower hangs above the marble bench, and a clerestory window pulls in tree-line light without sacrificing privacy. Outside the wet room, walnut floating vanities sit under arched black-framed mirrors with black stone counters and matching stone backsplash.
