In the Santa Barbara Estate, the balcony has tile on the top surface and a different tile pattern on the underside that is visible from below. Kingdom & Co. designed a custom bed underneath the balcony that could accept thinset on both sides, along with an integrated drain so water runs off rather than back into the house.
