We typically suggest that homeowners plan to stay somewhere else for the duration of a kitchen remodel, particularly during the summer months. Our crew closes off air vents and shuts down the AC during construction to keep dust and debris out of your HVAC system, which means the house will not be climate-controlled while work is underway. Between the lack of air conditioning and the constant foot traffic of workers coming and going, most families find it easier on everyone to relocate temporarily. For a smaller kitchen update with a limited scope, staying in the home can work if you are comfortable with the disruption. We discuss all of this during the design phase so there are no surprises.
