No. AI has changed parts of the interior design process (inspiration, mood boards, first-pass concept rendering) but has not replaced the work designers do. Buildable plans, real material sourcing, permits and HOA review, ergonomic and lifestyle design, vendor coordination, and accountability for the finished result are all jobs AI does not do. At Kingdom & Co. we use AI daily for the parts of design where it helps and rely on our in-house team for everything else. The designer’s role has changed. It has not gone away.
